Day One: Wednesday 21 August – Why we are here and sharing our experiences
Day one of the program will be opened by FearLess Chair, Admiral (Ret) Chris Barrie and focus on hearing the lived experiences of sufferers and their families. Plenary sessions will be followed by the official Welcome Reception networking event.
Day Two: Thursday 22 August – Finding hope
Day two will comprise morning and afternoon plenary sessions, panel discussions and two concurrent sessions. The focus will be on research, treatments and therapies and finding support. On Thursday evening the Conference Dinner ‘In Conversation with John Schumann’ will be held at The Events Centre, Caloundra.
Day Three: Friday 23 August – Where do we go from here?
The day will commence with an optional sunrise walk along Caloundra’s stunning coastal pathway with former Australian Rugby League great, Anthony Minichiello. An invitation-only Business Community Breakfast will held to build connections with the local Sunshine Coast business community and health industry. Morning sessions will comprise opening plenary followed by a small number of workshop sessions led by experienced facilitators, aimed at considering the main issues identified during the conference. Here delegates will have the opportunity to contribute to key outcomes and messages that will be incorporated into a broader national strategy and PTSD Protocol.
